Vision: The vision of the department is to effectively spread understanding of English language, literature and culture among the students of the college.

Mission:

1. To provide innovative and comprehensive English language instruction that prepares students for academic, professional, and personal success.
2. To promote English language as an effective medium of communication like other Indian Languages
3. To promote an inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity, embraces cultural perspectives, and fosters mutual respect among students, faculty, and staff.
4. To engage with the broader community through outreach programs, collaborations, and initiatives that enhances literacy, communication skills, and lifelong learning.

Facilities:

The Department has departmental library. There is facility in the department library to borrow books and read books if so desired by students. The department has dedicated department chamber with  in house class room for honours students. The department has a wall magazine which is prepared by the students time to time. The department has a white board. The faculties of the department often use audio-visual aid for teaching purpose.

Courses Offered :

1. HS (Arts ) Course and
2. Three Year Degree Course i.e BA Honours (Semester Courses under UG CBCS & FYUGP).
